I have been blog absent this week and decided I needed to make up for this. I’m feeling really good today – feel like I have an amazing amount of energy surging through me. (This is a complete 180 from the beginning of my week when I had a day or two of brain atrophy.) Managed to mix up some chocolate chip and peanut butter cookie dough and get a loaf of bread mixed and rising before heading off to town this morning. I dropped the boys at Walmart and headed off for a tan. As I refit my goggles while lying in the tanning bed, I looked down and was certain that my abs were presenting themselves. However, before ego took over, I reminded myself that abs show well when lying down: now, to just get them looking great when I’m upright!
Quick stop at the gym to have a coffee and chat with Dave; the sun is shining; people are smiling; heard a rumour that Dave will be offering a “Cardio Sermon” next Sunday morning. I think Fran started that rumour but I told Dave I will be happy to take part even though Sunday is my “do absolutely no cardio” day.
Back home, get bread in the oven, cookies are baked, ham and veggies out to get ready for supper. Prepared a few things to make snacks and lunches easier for me this week – Whew! Family will be arriving soon for our weekly dinner together; not sure how many will be here – somewhere between 14 and 20. It will be lively and noisy with wine freely flowing and topics being debated. I then realized since starting on the Fame Journey, food has been the topic of so many conversations, our main focus at times, an obsession. So as family members and guests come through the door, greeting each other, laughing and making jokes, I’m thinking, right now, for me, food is at the very bottom of my list. I am so fortunate to have been able to surround myself with such a wonderful group of supportive, positive people; here at home, and at the gym. It’s just like Thanksgiving….and I am so very thankful indeed!
